During the 2017 season, I was asked by the National Football League to create a series of animations based on celebrated players. Released across all NFL social media platforms after big games by those players, they've been top performers according to social media metrics - Especially the Aaron Rodgers belt piece below, which was the top performing post of the entire month of October, 2017. As an avid football fan, getting to watch football highlights as part of the job was an outstanding perk, I really enjoyed making these. Special thanks to David Lomeli, who was my Background illustrator!

Famous for his miraculous "hail Mary" throws and his championship belt celebration. Rodgers is admittedly one of my favorite players, being that I grew up in Wisconsin.
"Gronk" is a monster of a player. I think his arms are as wide as my torso. His signature celebration is the "Gronk Spike", in which he fires the ball with all his might into the ground. I'm pretty sure they have to re-inflate those balls after he does so. Being that his might is so alien already, I had to go reaaal extraterrestrial with this one.
Todd Gurley is more elusive than the sock I think I lost last year. He hurdles players almost as often as he runs by them, it's astounding. He also runs right through men twice his size. It brought me to say "What can I stop this man". I figured a monster could, but this animation shows I was wrong.
Released to celebrate his incredible "Minneapolis Miracle" catch to beat the New Orleans Saints on the last possible play in round 2 of the playoffs. The catch looks eerily like this animation I had pre-made for him. Perhaps he got a sneak peek and learned from it.
I caricatured each member of the notorious "No Fly Zone" Denver defense as a frog. Is that genius, or what?? Frogs stop all flies, and the Bronco defense does just as good a job stopping "fly"ing passes!
